Todd is Moving On…

Favorite sports teams = Yankees, Rangers and Giants… (maybe that’s why my favorite color is blue!)
Favorite quote = “Life is all about risks and it requires you to jump. Don’t be a person who has to look back and wonder what they would have or could have had. No one waits forever” which in my eyes is saying take chances because you never know what will come out of you taking those chances.

My name is Todd and I am Originally from Woodbury NY, but I now live in Muttontown, NY.  I have a fraternal twin named Shaun and an older brother, Tyler, who is a THC alum, and a younger sister (Dani) who will be a CIT this upcoming Summer!!

Growing up with the opportunity to go to Tyler Hill is one of the things I am most grateful for. I cannot thank my parents enough for having given me this experience as it has changed my life! (Keep reading and you’ll see why!) I ended up at THC because of my older cousins Chase and Alison, and my brother Tyler, who were all campers at THC.

One summer when I was at the bus stop with my family saying goodbye to my brother Tyler, I remember watching him climb onto the bus with all the other excited campers, and I knew I wanted to go on that bus with them. After several hours of non-stop begging, I had finally convinced my mother.  She called Andy that night and told him I wanted to go to camp too and within 24 hours I was up at Tyler Hill for my first summer as a Cadet – and I have never looked back since!

I was a camper at Tyler Hill for 7 amazing summers and also a staff member for another 6 summers on top of that. I held many different positions while at camp. I was a Waterski Specialist, a general counselor, a group leader and most recently I was the Assistant Food Service Director. I love everything about THC from the Programing, Special Events, the beautiful grounds, the staff, even the food (which is amazing, especially since the addition of Pulled Chicken this summer!!!)!

THC has helped me grow and be the person I am today.  I have matured, grown up, and learned things that I don’t believe I would have been able to learn anywhere else.  Those skills have shaped me into the camp loving professional I am today, and I was recently hired by Tyler Hill’s sister Camp, North Shore Day Camp, as Director of Facility and Operations!!!

I am beyond thrilled and can’t thank my Tyler Hill Family enough for all their support and encouragement. I look forward to this new chapter in my life, and although I will be moving on from THC to NSDC, I will always have a special place in my heart for my second home – Tyler Hill.
