5 Questions for Camper: Caroline

My name is Caroline (I’m the one on the right!) and I’m 15 years old. There is nothing I like to do more than to brag about my favorite place in the entire world – Tyler Hill Camp!  I live in New York City and I go to Fieldston High School. My favorite activities are hanging out with my friends and having a good time!  My favorite sports are softball and basketball and I like to sing and dance too.

I have been going to Tyler Hill for 8 years and it has truly shaped me into the person I am today and I don’t know where I would be without it.  Going to Tyler Hill was the best decision my family and I have ever made and I am so excited to return as a 9th year camper next summer and continue to grow with my Tyler Hill family.

1) What is the number #1 thing you love most about camp?
I really don’t think it’s possible for me to narrow my list of things I love about camp to only one thing!  However, the things I love most about camp are the everlasting friendships and unforgettable memories I have made at Tyler Hill.

2) What was the funniest thing that happened to you at camp?
The funniest thing that has happened at camp actually occurred this past summer. My division (Teen Girls) had to dress up like the contestants on the show “Toddlers and Tiaras” for our divisional sing theme. We wore the most ridiculous clothes and even more ridiculous make up. Everyone in the camp was staring at us! It was so funny! We had such a great time doing it!

3) What is your favorite memory from last summer?
My favorite memory from last summer was on the last night of camp. My whole division stayed up the whole night and we watched the sunrise together. We reminisced about past summers and all of our favorite times at camp.

4) Describe camp using only 3 words:
Friendship — Perfection — Family

5) What are you most looking forward to doing this summer?
I am going to be in the oldest division this coming summer!  Yay!  And I know my division will really step-up and lead the camp. I am especially excited to work with the younger campers because they are so much fun and they remind me of who I was back in 2004 when I first started at camp.  Lead by example!
