Wayne County Tennis Tournament

Tyler Hill has a long-running tradition as being one of the strongest camps to participate in the Wayne County Tennis Tournament. This tournament is made up of five day-long tennis tournaments throughout the summer where 18 local camps participate. We are proud to say that Tyler Hill has had the honor of having tennis champions in every single division over the past few years!

Bill (a.k.a. “Tennis”), our head tennis instructor, says “The Tyler Hill tennis program continues throughout the whole summer with the operative objective of teaching children tennis while having fun at the same time. This goes for the beginning, intermediate, and advanced player; We tailor our tennis program to suit the camper.”

So when it comes to living up to Tyler Hill’s reputation in Wayne County, this summer is no exception! In the two days of tournaments so far, we have had a number of our campers place in this competition with some really awesome games!

First time Tyler Hill tournament player Miranda said “We were really nervous, but we worked really hard and it obviously paid off.” And her doubles partner Danielle had lots to say about their experience too: “It was really fun playing all the camps and seeing our friends on the other teams. We had sooooooo much fun!”

So there you have it folks! Participating in the Wayne County Tennis Tournament is all about doing your best and having an awesome time too! Something we continue to do year after year!
