Summer 2013 – Opening Day!

Excitement filled the air at Tyler Hill yesterday as the buses rolled into camp: our campers finally arrived at their summer home and we couldn’t be happier!

Tears were shed, arms embraced one another, and excited screams echoed as each camper got off the bus running up to their long lost friends. Counselors greeted campers new and old, along with our Florida campers who arrived the day before. We had all anxiously awaited the arrival of everyone so that we could start our official Opening Day festivities! Everyone was so excited to be together again with our Tyler Hill summer family. What an amazing way to kick off Summer 2013!

Our campers then spent the rest of yesterday afternoon settling into their bunks and getting to know their bunkmates.  We had some free time to play some basketball and hang out before we headed into the evening where we celebrated Opening Day with a delicious BBQ dinner, followed by an amazing ice cream party!

After the long awaited arrival, our campers are finally home! We are so ecstatic to make even more memories as we begin the Summer of 2013 at Tyler Hill! Welcome home campers – welcome home!
