Our staff members are one of the key ingredients to an amazing summer, and we go to great lengths to recruit, interview, hire and train the very best of the best. Nurturing, spirited, warm, compassionate, encouraging and honest are all important traits we look for in our counselors.
All counselors are interviewed and hired by a director, and background and reference checks are an important part of the process. Once hired, every member of our staff participates in our 8-day comprehensive training program prior to campers’ arrival — and continued training is a constant throughout the summer. By bringing in top child psychologists, child development experts and group dynamic trainers, we know that our counselors are prepared to provide an amazing summer for all of our campers.
Our Leadership Team is made up of a highly trained and dedicated group of exceptional adult professionals. Group Leaders, Division Leaders, Head Counselors and Head Specialists are all part of the mix to ensure your child’s success at camp.
Our unique staff evaluation process enables our Leadership Team members to work closely with their counselor staff, coaching and guiding them every day of the summer. Our staff salaries are among the highest in the industry, and thus ensure a wide pool of top applicants and keep our proven staff returning year after year.
