Health & Nutrition

Nutrition, exercise and healthy eating are as important to us at Tyler Hill as they are to you at home. We know that a balanced meal plan for our campers will mean more energy to have FUN day in and day out!

Camp spirit comes to life in our dining hall where campers sit by bunk with their counselors and friends. Our complete kid-friendly meals always include fruit, vegetables and healthy choices. Each hot meal is plated family style and is delivered to the tables by a counselor waiter/waitress.

Breakfast

Hot breakfast items may include waffles, bagel and lox, pancakes, scrambled eggs, fresh cut fruit, omelettes, french toast or “breakfast pizza”. Campers may also choose to have oatmeal, hard-boiled eggs, toast, a large selection of cold cereals, juices, milk and yogurt.

Lunch & Dinner

mealtimeLunch and dinner always include three large salad bars, featuring everything from lettuce and fresh cut local vegetables, tuna, chicken and egg salad, avocado, hummus, rice cakes, dried fruit. Campers are also welcome to make their own sandwiches at every meal at our full fresh cut deli bar. There is always hot soup, as well as pasta with or without sauce and parmesan cheese at every lunch and dinner.

Snacks

Fresh fruit is available all day at various spots on campus, and every day at 3:15pm is Snack, at which time we serve ices, ice pops, goldfish or granola bars.

Special Dietary Requirements

Tyler Hill Camp is equipped to manage unique dietary requirements for our many campers with food allergies.  Our special designated chef prepares three daily meals and all daily snacks in a separate kitchen to accommodate all campers’ needs.

Fitness and Fun

Tyler Hill Camp’s daily program is also packed with opportunities for fitness and exercise, from our brand new state-of-the-art fitness center and indoor cycling/spin studio. Fitness classes, Zumba, martial arts and MMA programs are daily options for campers and are always fun and unique. Campers can choose fitness for an elective, or join in our early morning running club.
