Questions for Camper: Jesse

Hi my name is Jesse. I am 15 years old and I live in Boca Raton, Florida. I’m in High School and I am the starting pitcher for my school’s baseball team. I am also the founder of a non-profit organization called “Play It Forward Now.”  We collect new and used sports equipment to provide sports to disadvantaged children throughout Palm Beach County. I believe sports provides children with a way to strengthen their minds and bodies and also a safe environment to develop solid character. Parents in these communities are so appreciative of seeing their children run, play and laugh through the gift of sports equipment. It is my goal to Play It Forward Now…

1) What is the number #1 thing you love most about camp?
The number 1 thing I love about camp most is the people.  Last summer was my 1st year at THC and instantly from the moment I stepped off that bus I felt like everyone was like family because everyone welcomed me in with open arms.

2) What was the funniest thing that happened to you at camp?
There was a ton of funny events that happened at camp, but by far the funniest event was when Sam K. led the whole senior hall with his vintage “CHEA CHEA” chant! That memory will last me a lifetime!

3) What is your favorite memory from last summer?
Going crazy with all my friends and defeating Josh B in everything (all in good fun, Josh!)

4) Describe camp using only 3 words:
Life Changing, Inspirational

5) What are you most looking forward to doing this summer?
Being reunited with all my friends in 129 days. And to soak up my last summer as a camper.
