Karen Frank: Office Manager
As a parent who is miles away from your child, you may have some anxious moments. Those weekly phone calls can’t seem to come quickly enough. But, what if you need to make a change? No problem- just call Karen, our Office Manager. Do you need an idea for a summer birthday surprise? Have questions about our extended trips? Need to find out about misplaced hockey skates? Just ask Karen.
Karen came to THC when she was just a bride in 1974. Her husband, Stephen, came with her and they have been here ever since. She has been a Division Leader, the Assistant Head Counselor, and now, lucky for us all, our Office Manager.
Karen has a strong love for Tyler Hill as do both of her children and Franko. Camp is an integral part of her life, especially the wonderful friends that she has made there. THC and its children hold a special place in her heart. It is what memories are made of.
Patty Lasner: Customer Service
Patty Lasner was a counselor and Group Leader at Tyler Hill Camp in the 70's, with her husband Hymie. She returned to camp in 1996 with her three children Jodi, Meri and Rob and has become an integral member of our Tyler Hill family. Patty works in the Tyler Hill office addressing all medical and health insurance issues as well as helping the office run smoothly. If needed, she will schedule all necessary outside appointments for your child. Patty helps out at the health center and organizes the health forms of all campers and counselors. You can always feel comfortable knowing that if your child is under the weather, Patty will be there to cheer them up.
Marni Zuckerman: Office Staff
Marni Zuckerman has been answering the phones at THC for the past six summers. She is one of the friendly, caring voices that parents are greeted with when calling our camp. Marni is the mom of three Tyler Hill Campers, all of which will be entering their sixth summer.
In the off-season, Marni lives on Long Island. She dedicates her time to raising her children and working in a family business of Real Estate Financing.
Bob Bashe: Bookkeeping
Bob is responsible for maintaining and tracking our in-camp cash accounts. These include the camp’s accounts and the camper spending money accounts. Seven years ago, Bob computerized our in-camp financial record keeping system. (He also specializes in giving directions to and from Tyler Hill).
Bob is a former executive of a major military photoreconnaissance and video imaging company on Long Island. He was President of a $100 million electronics firm, specializing in military countermeasures and communication equipment. Bob’s work took him around the world and he owned a company selling Israeli developed portable lithium battery testers.
Bob was President of Temple Beth Am in Merrick, NY and served as Vice-President of the NY Federation of Reform Congregations. Bob and his wife, Barbara (the camp’s head nurse), enjoy spending time with their children and grandchildren in New Jersey and California. He is an avid reader and world traveler.
